True, true. I don’t know how Anno’s policy towards fan creations of Eva are, but I guess as long as a hypothetical fan-made anime adaptation isn’t made for profit and is strictly a volunteer thing, then maybe it would be possible.

Most of all, I just really don't want them to do to Eva's legacy what's been done to Madoka's. If there's something artistically worthwhile to be contributed, then contribute it. If they just want to crank out some soulless sludge with the Eva name on it for a blatant cash grab, then of course that's not okay.

I do! The Arima arc is really dark and yet cool at the same time, and it helps solidify their relationship. Its awesome storytelling.

The manga is my favorite version of the Eva story as well, but I would have mixed feelings about an anime adaptation.
I think it would be more fun if one of the alternate universe manga/LNs got an anime instead. Alternately, a series of shorts based on Tony Takezaki's Neon Genesis Evangelion would be my top pick.

Cosigned. As much as I loved the Karekano anime and would like to see Anno take on another shoujo adaptation... yeah, I don't want more Karekano.

Consider the plug suit designs are the way they are because Anno wanted something he thought no one would be crazy enough to cosplay, or so the story goes.

Would prefer to just be done with it, especially if Anno isn't the one in charge. Maybe I'd feel differently if the last movie didn't take so long. Who knows.
